Crime Prevention reminder in the hot weather |
||
|
Dear Aylestone Residents,
We hope you’re enjoying the warmer weather and making the most of the sunshine across our community. As your local policing team, we want to keep you safe, informed, and confident in your neighbourhood—especially as the hot weather brings a few seasonal challenges.
During this time of year, we often see an increase in opportunistic burglaries where windows or doors have been left open to help cool homes down. We completely understand the temptation, but we’re asking everyone to stay mindful. A moment’s distraction can be all it takes for someone to slip inside unnoticed.
A few simple steps can make a big difference:
Your awareness helps protect not only your home, but the wider Aylestone community too.
If you see something that doesn’t feel right, please let us know. You can report suspicious activity by calling 101, or by visiting the Leicestershire Police website and clicking the “Report It” tab. Your information, no matter how small it may seem, can help us prevent crime and keep Aylestone safe.
Thank you for your continued support and for looking out for one another. Together, we can make sure our community stays safe throughout the summer. Kind regards,
PCSO Vince Preston
